MIG, MAG, and TIG Welding

MIG, MAG, and TIG Welding

For over 30 years, Consiglio International has been providing our clients with top-quality welding solutions used across many industries — from automotive and medical to furniture and shipbuilding.

MIG (metal inert gas) and MAG (metal active gas) welding are among the most commonly used industrial technologies. Both use a consumable electrode in a shielding gas. In MIG welding, inert gases are used (e.g., argon, helium), while in MAG welding, active gases such as carbon dioxide or gas mixtures are applied.

Advantages of MIG/MAG welding:

We mainly use MIG welding for aluminum and its alloys, where oxidation protection and high weld aesthetics are required. The MAG method works perfectly for welding carbon steel (e.g., for the automotive and construction industries).

TIG welding

In TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding, we use a non-consumable tungsten electrode and a shielding gas, typically argon. This technology is slower than MIG/MAG, but it allows for exceptionally precise and aesthetic welds, even for very thin elements. Advantages of TIG welding:

We recommend TIG welding when visual qualities and precision are crucial, e.g., in the production of medical and furniture components, as well as in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

We invite clients from Poznań and other locations to cooperate with us.
